When Roland Barthes wrote his seven rhetorical figures of the bourgeoisie, in the essay Myth Today (1957), he was referring to the French bourgeoisie. Are these figures still valid nowadays? This series of posters shows an adaptation of these concepts for 2018, using popular culture elements to translate their meaning for a contemporary audience.
