    Turin hosts a number of thriving communities fighting every day for social rights, from international politics – such as the calls for boycotting in opposition to the ongoing genocide in Palestine – to local struggles, such as the housing crisis or the Council’s politics on immigration and the Italian detention centers for expulsion (CPR), deemed as “statal lagers”.

    On April 27th, about 300 people gathered in Kelvingrove Museum, Glasgow, and performed a “die-in” under the gigantic skeleton of Dippy the dinosaur. The protest aimed to raise awareness about climate change. People were holding signs and banners that asked “are we next?”.

    Every year, on the Sicilian island of Lampedusa, the no-profit organisation Comitato 3 Ottobre organises the commemoration of the 2013 shipwreck as a chance to engage with schools and institutions on the matters of migration, hospitality, and inclusivity. Four days of conferences, workshops, music and other activities involving of students, public figures, NGOs, as well as the people who survived the shipwreck in 2013.

    ‘The Age of Plastics’ is a campaign for an imaginary exhibition held in 3048, in a world where plastic is part of a faraway past and its use has to be guessed.

    Menu shoot with single dishes and composition for the restaurant Eria Cinque Petali in Turin, Italy. The art direction involved arranging the numerous elements of traditional Syrian cuisine as cameos on the table. The images produced were implemented in the custom ordering service as well as the website of the restaurant.

    During the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests, a great number of educational resources were shared online, contributing significantly to the conversation around proactive, intersectional anti-racism. Since the great majority of the terms of this conversation are in English and often never translated to Italian, Zebranegativa is a platform aiming to turn these resources accessible by translating content by theme, with a dictionary-based approach.

    Series of posters that combine paintings and stereotypical phone texts to raise awareness about the pollution issue and its several solutions: reducing consumption, reusing items, and recycling waste. The themes chosen were paired with an in-depth research whose outcome was resumed in the captions at the bottom. All the sources were then published online.

    The city of Glasgow hosted COP26 in November 2021. The city’s involvement in the history of the planet and climate change, however, is way older. In this children’s book we follow a wee robin on a journey of discovery through time, from the old Glasgow until the contemporary one. Illustrations by Annabel Wright, story by babs nicgriogair, editing by Sapna Agarwal. Published by Hope Street Collective and Aye Aye Books.
